Lead Product Designer

You will be responsible for designing and developing a functional, visually appealing, and cost-effective algae-based air purifier for indoor use. Your key responsibilities will include conducting research to understand air quality issues and algae's role in purification, optimizing product design for easy maintenance and cleaning, selecting appropriate materials that are durable and sustainable, working closely with vendors and manufacturers, developing 3D models and prototypes for testing, collaborating with engineers and biologists, and implementing user-friendly features while keeping production costs within budget. It is essential to stay updated with industry trends and sustainable materials for innovation. Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelors/Masters degree in Industrial Design or a related field, 3+ years of experience in product design, strong knowledge of CAD software, understanding of air purification technology and sustainable materials, experience in prototyping and cost analysis, ability to coordinate with vendors and manufacturers, problem-solving skills, and an eye for aesthetics and functionality.
