Job Description

Role Title : Lead-Procurement

Department:

Role Overview:

As a Lead-Procurement, you will be responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives, vendor management, and procurement operations for key platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure cost-effective, efficient, and quality-driven procurement while aligning with the organizations long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Procurement:

    • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to support platform-specific business objectives (Electricals, DAC, BIW, Trims etc)
    • Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate trends.
  2. Vendor Management:

    • Identify, onboard, and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure maximum value for the organization.
    • Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, timelines, and compliance.
  3. Cost Optimization:

    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency through innovative sourcing solutions.
    • Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints while maintaining procurement quality.
  4. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

    • Work closely with product development, operations, and other internal teams to understand and fulfill sourcing requirements.
    • Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on goals.
  5. Risk Management:

    • Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with sourcing activities, including supply chain disruptions.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  6. Process Improvement:

    • Drive continuous improvement by adopting industry best practices and leveraging technology in sourcing processes.
    • Monitor KPIs, prepare reports, and present insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:

    Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Experience:

    • 12-16 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
    • Prior experience in platform-specific procurement is a plus.
  • Skills:

    • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
    • Proficiency in procurement software and platforms.
    • Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders and vendors.
    • Knowledge of supply chain risk management and cost optimization strategies.
