Lead Process Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• To lead a team of Process Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Instrumentation Engineers and Architects/Civil Engineers

• Project Manager for major Projects and coordination with the Clients Team

• Experience in designing chemical intermediates, specialty chemicals and/or bulk drugs, manufacturing facilities.

• Knowledge of cGMP norms for Bulk Drug Manufacturing Plants is an added advantage

Preferred candidate profile

1. Preparation of Design Philosophy

2. Scaling up the process based on laboratory/pilot plant trials.

3. Material Balance and Energy Balance.

4. Sizing of all equipment including pumps & Heat Exchangers.

5. Finalization of MOC.

7. Preparing tentative budget for the project.

8. Preparation of PFD

9. Making P&IDs and/or review the same Process & Utilities

10. Finalization of Site Master Plan, Plant and Utilities Layouts/sections/elevations.

11. Play major role for conceptual layout finalization as per safety, environment, budget and operation.

12. Making process equipment data sheets with applicable codes and standards.

13. Preparation of specifications of package items such as ETP, STP, WTP, scrubber, vacuum, single fluid heating cooling system.

14. Freezing of automation philosophy and preparation of process control philosophy document.

15. Leading Hazop studies and preparation of Hazop Report

16. Preparing & reviewing BOQ/MTO of all piping items with specifications

17. Preparing BOQ for piping or review the same.

18. Review the tender (BOQ / specification) for mechanical- piping, insulation.

19. Co-ordination with architectural, civil, electrical, instrumentation, mechanical (piping, static and rotary equipment, HVAC)

20. Evaluate the proper vendors & floating the enquiries to them.

21. Preparation of Techno-commercial comparison sheets with purchase department for all equipment as well as packages.

22. Expertise in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Desirable:

23. Inspection of Equipment at site.

24. Knowledge of Autocad

25. Experience in erection & commissioning of chemical plants.

26. Knowledge of Chemcad, HTRI, Aspen, Unysim, Hysis software.
