Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for contributing in a senior role to the efficient and compliant delivery of all process engineering design on the project, working with and reporting to the Project Managers/ Process Engineering Manager. Your duties will include ensuring quality technical design delivery output, technical governance, coordination within a multi-discipline project team, and providing day-to-day engineering design support. Additionally, you will lead process engineering design activities for Energy and Industrial projects, conduct process simulations, perform process safety studies, develop process flow diagrams, and provide technical support to multidisciplinary project teams. Key Responsibilities: - Lead process engineering design activities for Energy and Industrial projects - Conduct process simulations, heat and material balances, and equipment sizing - Perform process safety studies, including HAZOP, SIL, and PHA - Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and process control narratives - Provide technical support and guidance to multidisciplinary project teams - Collaborate with clients, vendors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with project requirements - Lead process optimization initiatives to improve efficiency, reliability, and sustainability - Conduct feasibility studies and cost estimates for new projects and plant modifications - Prepare and evaluate bid and purchase specifications for process and clean utility equipment - Calculate loads for clean utilities, line sizing, and distribution design - Participate in planning, cost development, and scheduling for assigned projects - Maintain effective communication with project team members and customers - Calculate and organize data and interface with other Jacobs disciplines - Have knowledge of GMP and worldwide regulatory requirements - Utilize software tools such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, EDR, and others for design purposes - Possess field experience in commissioning and/or qualification of process and utility systems Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemical engineering - Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred - Strong client-facing and communication skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Forward-thinking and eager to learn best practices - Ability to collaborate effectively in various teams Additional Company Details (if applicable): At Jacobs, the focus is on the right balance of belonging, career, and lifestyle to consistently deliver and exceed clients" expectations.
