Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Lead PostgreSQL Developer. The individual in this role will design, develop, and optimize PostgreSQL databases to support application functionalities, ensure database performance, and enhance scalability. Responsibilities include managing backup and recovery processes, implementing database security, and troubleshooting issues as required. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior developers, and staying updated with advancements in PostgreSQL features and best practices to maintain strong database architecture and reliability.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL development, database optimization, and management
• Proficient in database design, schema creation, and data modeling
• Experience in database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
• Familiarity with database security, backup, and recovery processes
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with stored procedures, triggers, and advanced database features
• Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions and integration with applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Prior experience in leading database development projects or mentoring junior team members is a plus
