This is an Sr. Lead Mechanical Engineer will manage and complete task work for various engineering disciplines as well as manage and develop automated workflows utilizing Smartsheet, SharePoint, etc. As a Lead, you will be responsible for assisting the onsite engineering teams with the completion of engineering and quality related tasks. You will follow best practices and Engineering Standards to complete engineering and quality tasks. In this role, you will further develop technical subject-matter expertise while contributing significantly to MMM s growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities / Functions:

Develop validation documentation as required (e.g. plans, protocols, reports, procedures) to validate equipment, facility, products, and support supplier validations as needed.
Review technical drawings and models using engineering software and tools (Solidworks)
Create inspection plans for new and existing product
Create and maintain customer PFMEA s and Control Plans
Use statistical tools to analyze data, make recommendations and improve process capability
- Capability analysis
- Planned scrap management and scrap monitoring
- Monthly reporting data processing
Work directly with site Estimator s to produce product quotes for customers as needed
Review basic production fixtures to include models, drawings and specifications in support of engineering, manufacturing, and automation.
Utilize Smartsheet to manage the change control process and complete tasks associated with the change control process.
Management of product contact material CAS database
Ability to develop software driven workflows to automate manual processes.
Mentor and guide junior team members on process engineering, problem-solving, and quality systems.

Personal Characteristics and Attributes:

A seasoned, result-oriented engineer who can work independently once given direction, has good rapport with coworkers, can listen, be creative, and is detailed oriented.
Highly articulate in verbal and written communications using the English language
Maintains a good attitude, persistence, and drive focused on finding a way to accomplish the objectives.
Willing to travel within or outside India as and when needed (about 5% of travelling per year)
Ready B1/B2 VISA for USA is a must

Skills/ Experience:

Knowledge of new product launch for contract manufacturing including experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, Inspection Instructions, process prints
Strong knowledge and understanding of engineering/quality principles and concepts including knowledge of GDT, MSA/Gage RR, Capability Studies
Familiar with Validation concepts including IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and reports
Strong expertise in minitab, Smartsheet, Sharepoint, ERP systems, Microsoft applications
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in work
Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly
Ability to work both independently and lead teams
Flexible in adapting quickly to changing business needs and project priorities
