This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 1200000 - Rs 6000000 (ie INR 12-60 LPA) Min Experience: 6 years Location: Chennai JobType: full-time We are looking for a skilled and motivated Lead Java Engineer (Integration) to develop and maintain robust integration solutions with third-party products and services. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Java, a solid grasp of relational databases, and a strong understanding of scalable, secure software systems. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless data handling, high-performance systems, and optimal user experiences. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain integrations with external third-party systems and services. Write clear and comprehensive technical requirement and design documentation. Produce user documentation to guide internal and external users. Create demo recordings to showcase product functionality and usage. Ensure code quality with unit and integration testing frameworks. Optimize systems to handle massive data processing, ensuring concurrency and parallelism are efficiently managed. Required Skills & Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Java development. Solid understanding of transaction mechanisms and database connectivity. Deep experience with relational databases and writing optimized SQL queries. Proficiency in automated testing techniques (unit, integration). Good understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture. Familiarity with IT/network security principles. Basic working knowledge of Linux and Linux scripting. Experience with Docker or similar containerization technologies. Familiarity with setting up cloud-based disposable testing environments. Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with a customer-focused mindset. Preferred/Optional Skills: Experience using Java profiling tools for performance analysis. Exposure to network analyzers for debugging connectivity and protocol issues. Previous involvement in exploring internal database mechanics is a strong plus.
