Role Overview

This position is for a Lead role in the Insurance Analytics domain for one of our clients. The primary responsibility is to support the client's Insurance Analytics team from Gurgaon in executing various Analytics (Data & BI) projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery for 10–15 data & visualization analysts. The role involves working closely with clients to understand their strategic priorities, identifying better solutions, estimating effort requirements, managing and building project teams, and ensuring high delivery standards.
  • Data Extraction, Cleansing and Manipulation – Handle large volumes of data, research variables, and work with structured/unstructured data.
  • Develop and optimize data pipelines and analytical models using SQL and Power BI.
  • Process Documentation – Maintain clear, concise documentation of in-line procedures to ensure consistency and support knowledge transfer.
  • Participate in various other analytics projects and work on ad-hoc requests relating to data extraction and visualizations as per client needs.
  • Predictive Modelling – Develop models using appropriate predictive analytics techniques.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
  • Develop dashboards for tracking and monitoring KPIs.

The person will lead the data analyst team for a major insurance client and will serve as the SME/Lead for analytics, working closely with various stakeholders.

Engages in technical problem-solving across multiple technologies; often needs to develop new solutions.

A typical workday will involve collaborating with stakeholders while functioning in a Team Lead capacity.

7–12 years of experience

Experience in insurance is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Deep understanding of Analytics
  • Strong communicator and team player with client interaction experience
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment
  • Questions existing processes and suggests improvements
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously


Required Education and Skills

  • Academic background in Science (Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science etc.)
  • Strong IT skills – Hands-on experience in data analysis and data preparation tools like SAS, Python, PySpark, SQL
  • Good knowledge of advanced analytics / machine learning / statistical / data mining / text mining techniques in regression or classification
  • Good knowledge of Power BI, Teradata, and Snowflake
  • Experience in the P&C Insurance industry is preferable
