Position Summary
We are seeking a business-focused technologist and functional subject matter expert to advance the technology capabilities of the Middle Office and Controllers organizations. This role partners closely with stakeholders across Investment Operations to lead technology initiatives, gather and document business requirements, and coordinate development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Middle Office Operations professionals to understand business needs and translate them into clear business and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement effective technology solutions.
- Work with internal teams and external application vendors to define development approaches and delivery timelines.
- Track and maintain project plans, risk matrices, issue logs, and all related project artifacts to ensure successful delivery.
- Develop comprehensive test cases and actively participate in development and QA testing cycles.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and continuously build strong working relationships.
- Analyze Middle Office platform processes and capabilities and contribute to the ongoing technology strategy.
- Partner with the business to ensure SLAs and key performance metrics are met or exceeded.
- Identify and promote best practices to optimize system usage internally and externally.
- Act as an escalation point for production and support issues, providing well-documented root cause analysis (RCA) and permanent resolutions.
Experience Required
3+ years
of hands-on experience with C, Python, SQL, and Excel Macros
. 8+ years
of industry experience across the full SDLC, including business requirements refinement, functional specification definition, development, and testing. - Strong experience with
Business Analysis methodologies
, use case modeling, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Experience working with
data warehouse and business intelligence platforms
, including data modeling concepts. - Deep understanding of
Middle Office functions
and solid knowledge of credit instruments
(e.g., Bank Loans, Bonds, Derivatives). - Experience with a leading
fund accounting platform
; FIS VPM strongly preferred
. - Experience integrating systems hosted on cloud platforms such as
AWS and Azure
. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with business users, technical teams, and senior stakeholders.

Educational Requirements
Advanced degree
from a top-tier university
is strongly preferred.
