Job Description

As a Blackline Consultant at HCL, you will play a key role in the implementation, configuration, and optimization of the Blackline platform, with a specific focus on the Transaction Matching module. You will lead multiple implementation projects independently, ensuring milestones are met and customer satisfaction is achieved. Communication with stakeholders regarding project progress, risk identification, and mitigation planning will be a crucial part of your responsibilities. Your role will also involve application administration tasks such as user and role management, system maintenance and configuration, report creation, workflow optimization, and providing user training and support. You will need to have a deep understanding of the integration between Blackline and other ERP systems such as Peoplesoft and SAP, as well as other accounting systems. As a Certified Blackline implementation expert with at least 10 years of experience and a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, you will be expected to provide technical oversight across the implementation of various modules. You will act as the primary Blackline technical subject matter expert, offering support to users and addressing functionality questions and issues. Collaboration with the Finance team and System Implementation team will be essential in ideation, technical development, and implementation of Blackline modules. Your responsibilities will also include ongoing support and testing of Blackline software program updates to ensure functionality. You should have a strong background in technical product management and the ability to translate leading-edge technical capabilities into deliverable solutions for the finance team. Strong collaboration skills with technical, business, accounting, and IT teams will be necessary to drive continued innovation in thinking, requirements, and delivered capabilities. The ideal candidate for this role should have a minimum of 3 years of experience administering the Blackline application as a system admin. Proficiency in Intermediate/Advanced Excel is required, and VBA knowledge is a plus. Strong financial, analytical, and systems acumen, along with innovative problem-solving skills, are essential for success in this position. The ability to work effectively under pressure, manage changing priorities, and interact with various functions and levels of management is crucial. If you have experience with technical accounting systems and related solutions, along with a background in TTLH industry, it will be considered highly advantageous.
