Role Overview

Lead Engineer VPS

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed 1-D engine performance simulations to assess WOT, POT, BSFC, and transient behavior

• CNG

• Generate comprehensive performance simulation reports including interpretation of results and recommendations

• Define torque, power, and efficiency targets based on simulation insights

• Propose and evaluate innovative technologies to enhance engine performance

• Interpret and correlate test data (from engine dynamometer or vehicle testing) with simulation outputs

• Develop and implement new simulation methodologies and improve modeling accuracy

• Perform predictive combustion modeling to simulate in-cylinder processes and emissions

• Model after-treatment systems and emissions behavior for both diesel and gasoline engines

• Lead cross-functional collaboration with test engineers, design teams, and product development to support simulation-driven design

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical / Automotive / Powertrain Engineering or a related field

• Significant experience (typically 6+ years) in engine / powertrain simulation and modeling

• Strong expertise in 1-D simulation tools (like GT-Suite, AVL Boost)

• Deep understanding of combustion modeling and predictive emissions simulation

• Proven experience in correlating simulation results with real-world test data

• Knowledge of after-treatment systems (catalysts, SCR, DPF, etc.) and emissions modeling

• Strong technical writing skills: ability to produce high-quality reports and present simulation findings

• Leadership ability: mentor junior engineers, guide simulation strategy, and drive capability development
