Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior / Lead Mechanical Engineer to be a part of our team. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems and products. You should have strong analytical skills, project management experience, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Your proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges will be crucial in optimizing engineering solutions. In this role, you will drive product enhancements and design changes, ensuring smooth navigation through the ECO process with precision. Demonstrating expertise in GD&T and tolerance stack-up is essential for ensuring engineering accuracy. Applying strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking to address complex engineering challenges using structured techniques will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also be expected to develop innovative solutions, collaborate with multi-functional teams, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure compliance with industry standards. As a mentor, you will guide junior engineers, lead testing and simulations, provide technical expertise for the manufacturing process, and contribute to multidisciplinary projects. Your ability to identify design-for-manufacturability, product enhancement, and cost-reduction opportunities will be highly valued. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and working collaboratively in a team environment will also be essential in this role. To be successful in this position, you should have a Bachelor's or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. You must have validated experience in engineering roles with a focus on product design and a consistent track record of analyzing data, identifying patterns, and developing effective solutions. Hands-on experience with problem-solving tools, methodologies, and standard processes is required. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, industry regulations, and quality standards, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills are also necessary. Ability to work independently, lead projects effectively, and a proactive approach to learning new technical skills will be beneficial. Preferred qualifications include experience with Hazardous Location Certifications, working with pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical valve actuators, understanding of castings, motors, gears, bearings, and springs, and familiarity with CAD tools like Solid Edge, Creo, PLM tools like Teamcenter, Innovia, and ERP systems like Oracle.
