Description
As a Lead Engineer (Java) in our company, your role will involve driving the end-to-end delivery of backend services and enterprise applications. Your expertise in hands-on Java coding and leadership skills will be crucial in managing development teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality technical execution globally. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design, development, and delivery of backend applications using Java. - Write high-quality, scalable, and maintainable Java code following best practices. - Collaborate with architects, product owners, and stakeholders across multiple locations. - Own delivery timelines, sprint planning, and development milestones. - Guide and mentor team members to ensure code quality and technical standards. - Drive technical decision-making, solution design, and issue resolution. - Oversee integration, testing, and deployment activities. - Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies. Required Qualifications: - 8+ years of strong hands-on experience in Java backend development. - Solid understanding of Spring / Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices. - Experience working in Agile environments and leading development teams. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to collaborate with distributed teams across locations. - Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and issue tracking tools. Preferred Skills: - Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP). - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized deployments. - Exposure to SQL or NoSQL databases. - Experience with performance optimization and debugging.
