Lead Engineer (Electronics)

Driving the development of the electrical subsystems of the robot that enable it to operate reliably in harsh real-world conditions including voltage fluctuations, EMI, temperature extremes, moisture, and dust, while achieving maximum power efficiency and intelligent energy management for extended autonomous operation.
Core Responsibilities Driving iterations of the electrical subsystems of our robots (power distribution, motor controllers, sensor integration) Critical analysis of existing electrical architectures and power management solutions (from research literature, commercial robots, automotive/aerospace systems) Preparing the electrical design envelope for subsystems (power requirements, signal integrity, safety margins, thermal constraints, manufacturing processes, budget) Leading PCB design, component selection, and electrical integration across all robot systems

Hard Skills
Experience in power electronics for mobile systems (robotics/EVs/drones) with expertise in motor control (BLDC, FOC, servo control) Advanced PCB design: multi-layer, high-speed signals, power routing, thermal management BMS, charging protocols, energy optimization Hands-on debugging: oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal cameras, EMI testing Safety-critical electrical design: fault detection, redundancy, emergency shutdown
