Job Responsibilities :

.

• Assistance to Senior Lead.
• Quality assurance: Adhere to QMS norms & maintain the required documents.
• Assisting in preparation of man-hour budget / forecast.
• Preparing/checking of M.T.O.
• Attending all review Meetings, if required.
• Preparing / checking of designs.
• Checking and issue of IFC drawings.
• Compilation of Data Bank/Documents.
• Progress reporting and adherence to engineering schedule.
• Interdepartmental coordination # Issuing IDC comments to other disciplines and incorporating comments given by other disciplines.
• Review and coordination of drawings prepared by other departments.
• Regular reviewing and checking of the 3D model.
• If functioning as independent Line Manager, to identify the skill gaps within the team and nominate team members for skill development program.
• Understand the project specific scope of works and apprise team about the same.
• Co-ordinate & communicate with Client / other disciplines to expedite inputs and other project related matters.
• Prepare man-hour estimate, Review & approve list of deliverables & engineering designs/deliverables with due emphasis on safety aspects and QMS norms.
• Monitor department progress for various jobs in hand to ensure completion of job within stipulated time by meeting schedule of various activities.
• Review of SER and expedite closure of same.
• As a line manager, he as to conduct Performance review exercise for his team.

Education Requirement :

Necessary:

• Engineering Degree from accredited college or university

Experience Requirement :

• 10 years minimum detail engineering experience in Hydrocarbon/ other heavy industries.
• Must have executed successfully as lead engineer at least two projects, each with more than 5000 man hours of discipline work.

Skills & Competencies :

• Familiarity with working in 3D environment.
• Shall have good supervisory skill and must have already supervised successfully a group of at least 5 persons.
• Proficient in interpretation of scope of works and estimation of man-hour requirement for assigned projects.
• Technical competence and awareness of codes, standards & industry practices works so as to guide team and effectively resolve technical issues on projects, including constructability requirements.
• Innovative and continuously seeks new efficient ways to perform tasks for delivering quality work.
• Shall have excellent Time management & interdepartmental coordination qualities.
• Shall possess very good working knowledge of MS Excel and shall be capable of making Excel Templates / spread sheets for engineering calculations. Knowledge in Mathcad will be preferred.
