Job Description

As a Lead - Currency Control Unit in Wholesale Banking Operations, your role involves overseeing and monitoring controls for currency operations across pan-bank branches and CPCs. Your key responsibilities include: - Implementing controls as per approved processes by OR & Compliance and conducting regular process reviews aligned with regulatory guidelines. - Automating CPC & CSD processes for operational controls through process reengineering and identifying opportunities for automation. - Revising and monitoring CRL of CPCs to minimize cash holding, coordinating with BCU for CRL revision, and optimizing cash vans route plans. - Identifying new Corr. banks/ Vendors for cash management in adherence to TPRM guidelines. - Reviewing service quality of CIT vendors for timely cash delivery to branches and imposing penalties for service level issues. - Conducting timely review and due diligence of all FOS vendors as per TPRM guidelines. - Ensuring cash movements at branches comply with RBI/MHA guidelines on Cash management activities and Insurance limits. - Supervising vendor service contracts, ensuring timely contract renewals, and coordinating with RMs & Unit Managers for Non-Issuable/LDNs movement. - Handling escalations from Business for cash offload/indent requests not actioned on time. - Coordinating with BCU & Branches to identify Hub branches for long distance cash movements. - Monitoring high cash holding branches and presenting cash procurement/offloaded dashboard for Senior Management review. - Regularly reviewing all BGL accounts of CPCs & CSD from a transaction monitoring perspective. - Conducting visits to CPCs & Branches to ensure process compliance across all units. - Reporting all counterfeit notes at Bank level to RBI, NCRB & FIU-IND and coordinating with Stakeholders for FNVC cell inputs. - Analyzing trends of Forged notes detected at Branches/CPCs and updating FNVC Committee. - Ensuring implementation of all instructions/directions received from Regulators / Law Enforcement Agency. - Annual review of BCP documents, SOP & Risk registers for CPC, CSD. Qualifications Required: - Graduation in Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Business & Insurance (BBI), or Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS). - Post-Graduation in Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Commerce (M.Com), or Master of Arts (MA). With 10 - 18 years of relevant experience, you are well-equipped to fulfill the responsibilities of this challenging role in Wholesale Banking Operations.
