Job Description

Note : This will be an off-roll contractual role

  • Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends
  • Devise long-term development strategies for leading the supply function
  • Build strong partnerships with key suppliers/brands, leading joint business planning and negotiation to drive growth.
  • Identify gaps and continuously enhance the category assortment by onboarding new brands, SKUs, or exclusives. Continuously enhance the category assortment by identifying gaps and onboarding new brands, SKUs, or exclusives.
  • Work with marketing teams to create category visibility through campaigns, platform placements, and performance marketing.
  • Liaise with supply chain, warehousing, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of plans and availability.
  • Handle the catalogue for his respective category and work with various internal as well as external teams, ensuring quick closure of NPIs, Catalog issues, corrections
  • Have a close look at other competitors channels (app/website, etc.) and see to it that Mall is at par with respect to information provided, Pricing, and Availability
  • NPI closures of new brands as per SOPs and TaT.
  • Brand onboarding on new platforms with the right margin, return policies, and dispute policies
  • Leverage data to monitor category performance, identify issues, test hypotheses, and take corrective actions.
  • Daily assigned activities/Follow-ups
  • Solid knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles

Desired Qualification

  • 4–8 years of experience in category management, merchandising, consulting, or business strategy (preferably in e-commerce, FMCG, or retail).
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering business impact.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Highly analytical with comfort in using tools like Excel, SQL, Tableau, or similar.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – ability to work across teams.
  • MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles
  • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability 
  • Be extremely thorough with an eye for detail - a must-have
  • Be persistent in coordinating with stakeholders to drive outcomes - a must-have
  • Eager to both learn and grow
  • Can act independently
