Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in supporting enterprise applications and infrastructure, with expertise in automation, containerization, and middleware technologies. This role involves managing critical systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring high availability and performance of applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2/L3 support for middleware platforms.
• Work with OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications.
• Automate operational tasks using Ansible and other scripting tools.
• Support and configure IBM DataPower, API Connect, and App Connect Enterprise for secure and scalable integrations.
• Administer and troubleshoot WebSphere Application Server environments.
• Monitor application and infrastructure health using Instana and other observability tools.
• Manage SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle, including generation, renewal, and deployment across platforms.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure compliance and performance.
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4 to 8 years of experience in application support or similar roles.
• Knowledge of OpenShift/Kubernetes container orchestration.
• Expertise in any of IBM DataPower, API Connect, and App Connect Enterprise administration.
• Proficiency in WebSphere Application Server configuration and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
• Solid understanding of AIX and Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with Instana or similar monitoring tools.
• Good scripting skills (Shell, Python, Perl).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice-to-Have:

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Understanding of networking and security fundamentals.
