Job Description

3 Lead Agronomist

Job Overview:

The Lead Agronomist will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of agronomic strategies to optimize crop production and enhance agricultural practices
This position requires strong expertise in agronomy, leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team of agronomists, researchers, and other agricultural professionals The ideal candidate will have a strong background in crop management, soil health, pest management, and sustainable farming practices

Key Responsibilities:

Crop Management:
Lead and supervise the planning, planting, growth, and harvesting of crops, ensuring optimal yields and product quality

Research Development:
Conduct and guide research on soil health, pest management, crop rotation, irrigation techniques, and sustainable agriculture practices

Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor a team of agronomists and field staff, ensuring effective collaboration and project execution

Data Analysis Reporting:
Analyse crop performance data, soil health, and environmental factors to make informed decisions on crop management strategies

Sustainability Initiatives:
Implement and promote sustainable farming techniques to improve yield efficiency and reduce environmental impact

Training Education:
Provide ongoing training and education for the team, keeping them updated on the latest industry trends and technological advancements

Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments such as operations, research, and product development to align agronomic practices with business goals

Compliance:
Ensure all agricultural activities comply with government regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices
