Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimise web applications, headless backend systems, and APIs supporting Android & iOS applications using Laravel and PHP
• Build and manage RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
• Collaborate with front-end developers and designers to deliver seamless user experiences
• Write clean, reusable, and testable code following best practices
• Ensure application performance, security, and scalability
• Manage and optimise databases and handle migrations using Eloquent ORM
• Participate in project planning, sprint meetings, and code reviews

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• 3+ years of professional experience with Laravel and PHP
• Strong understanding of OOP, MVC architecture, and Eloquent ORM
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX
• Experience working with MySQL or other relational databases
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and JSON
• Experience using Git and version control tools

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience with Vue.js, React, or Angular
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/DigitalOcean)
• Knowledge of unit testing (PHPUnit)
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
