Landscape Designer

As a Landscape Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and functional outdoor spaces for various projects. Your role will involve collaborating with clients, architects, and contractors to transform landscape concepts into reality while considering environmental, structural, and budget constraints. You will meet with clients to understand project goals, requirements, and budget constraints, conduct thorough site analysis including soil testing and sunlight exposure assessments. Your tasks will involve creating detailed landscape design plans using CAD software and hand-drawn sketches, selecting suitable materials, plants, and design elements, and presenting design proposals to clients for approval. Collaboration with landscape architects, engineers, and construction teams will be crucial to ensure proper execution of the design. You will also be responsible for preparing cost estimates, timelines, and project documentation, as well as monitoring ongoing projects to ensure adherence to design specifications and timelines. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field and have at least 2 years of experience in landscape design or a related role. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Lumion is required. A strong understanding of horticulture, soil science, and irrigation systems is essential. Additionally, excellent visualization, communication, and client-interfacing skills, along with a keen eye for detail and project deadlines, are highly valued.
