Lab Technician - (SOET)

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage computer labs.
• Assist faculty and students with lab equipment and software.
• Ensure proper functioning of computers and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• Install and configure software applications as required for academic purposes.
• Maintain network connectivity and address basic networking issues.
• Maintain records of lab usage, equipment inventory, and system updates.
• Ensure security and proper licensing of installed software.

Qualification:

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science /IT / BCA/ MCA
• Experience with Linux/Windows system administration.
• Certifications in hardware/software troubleshooting, networking, or system administration.
• Proficiency in software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting for engineering and programming tools.

Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in managing computer labs, IT support, or software installation.

Skills Required

• Technical Skills:

  Knowledge of electronic circuits, electronic components, testing instruments oscilloscopes etc.
• Should be well versed with MS office tools.

• Communication:

  Strong verbal and written communication skills to assist students and document procedures.

• Organizational Skills:

  Ability to maintain records and manage lab inventory efficiently.
