Lab Technician - Laboratory Medicine

• To receive samples, acknowledge them on the LIS and generate worksheet
• To distribute samples to concerned sections after verification of sample integrity
• To run samples in corresponding instruments (Hematology – Beckman Coulter LH780 and Advia 2120; coagulation – STA Compact and STA RT; Urine analyzer – Advantus and Clinitek and ESR analyzer VES MATIC 30)
• To recognize variations in test results from normal; prepare smears for hematology for pathologist validation and / or request for repeat samples if required
• To update results on the LIS, awaiting pathologist’s finalization
