Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab supervisor to join and manage our mushroom cultivation lab team. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage a team of 15-20 people, oversee and execute inoculation processes, contamination check and ensuring the cultivation of high-quality mushrooms.

Key Responsibilities

 1. Inoculation Procedures: Supervise and carry out inoculation procedures with precision and efficiency, adhering to established protocols for introducing cultures into grow bags. Ensure sterility is maintained throughout the process and place the inoculated bags securely in the incubation rooms.

2. Culture Maintenance: To ensure regularly monitoring and maintenance of cell cultures.

4. Quality Control: Supervise contamination checks on mushroom grow bags as per SOPs by closely monitor mushroom growth and quality and promptly identify any issues or abnormalities. Troubleshoot any problems in a timely manner.

5. Documentation: Prepare reports and summaries of laboratory findings for management and regulatory purposes.

Qualifications

· Education: Bachelor or Master in Biotechnology, or related fields (Microbiology, preferred).

· Experience: 5-7 years of experience in any laboratory/ mushroom cultivation or similar roles.

Skills

· Bachelor or Master in Biotechnology/Microbiology or a related field.

· Basic understanding of laboratory techniques such as laminar air flow, autoclave, pH meter, etc.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills.

· Good communication skills and the ability to effectively convey findings and observations.

· Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
