What You Work: As a Staff Engineer you will be responsible for driving development and sustenance various Network Functions and/or platform for our Routing Team. You’ll lead technical initiatives, mentor team members and collaborate closely with cross functional teams to drive innovation and ensure high-quality deliverables. You’ll leverage your expertise to solve challenging problems and contribute to strategic engineering decisions. Responsible for initial deployments of new routing products, respective new technology, major feature roll outs. Stage the customer deployment in lab to replicate field scenarios and test the solution prior to field deployment. Design and implement routing systems and networks. Responsible for RFI/RFP. Develop High level customer design HLD and able to prepare LLD (Low Level design). Handle product demonstrations, lab and field Proof of Concepts (POCs). Prepare test plans for POCs, demos and carry out internal testing of the same. Be the Subject Matter Expert on product capabilities and network solutions. Work with the SE team to prepare and enhance solution documents based on lab validation. Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, SR, RSTP, MSTP, ERPS, Virtual Chassis etc.). Optimize network performance and ensure high availability. Interact with diverse teams like R&D, Product Management and Sales team to understand the customer requirements. Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems. Monitor and troubleshoot network issues with NSG & TAC Team. Develop and implement network security measures. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies. Mandatory skills: Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols and network architecture. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Should be well versed in IP routing protocols like OSPF, ISIS, BGP, SR. Should have understanding and application of MPLS based on LDP, RSVP and BGP. Should be an expert in FRR techniques at various layers (IP FRR, RSVP TE FRR). Should be an expert in L2VPN, VPLS, VPWS and L3VPN service constructs. Should have hands-on working experience in service provider networks or product testing. Should have customer interaction experience. Should be willing to travel domestic and abroad. Professional level Certification for Service Provider is a plus. Desired skills: Certification in routing (CCNP, CCIE-SP/JNCIE-SP etc.). Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.). Preferred Qualifications Experience 10 to 15 yrs experience from Telecommunication or Networking background.
