KYC Quality Assurance, SME - Associate

Role Overview: As a KYC Quality Assurance Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Associate at a Private Bank in Mumbai, India, your role involves providing assurance to stakeholders by independently assessing KYC files to ensure compliance with DB's KYC Policy and local requirements. You will participate in implementing a globally consistent Quality Assurance (QA) framework to manage Financial Crime Risks presented by the Client. Key Responsibilities: - Operate as a KYC Quality Assurance SME within the Private Bank KYC QA function. - Support the QA Team Lead in implementing a globally consistent KYC QA Program. - Review KYC files on a sample basis using the QA methodology to deliver an objective review for APAC locations. - Identify risks in KYC documentation, confirm remediation or escalation through the process. - Foster a culture of teamwork and achievement across QA & CLM teams. - Ensure QA compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and testing standards. - Interact with key stakeholders, collaborate with other teams, and prepare concise reports for business improvement. - Keep abreast of regulatory developments impacting monitoring requirements and assist in projects. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/B.Com, etc.) with 8+ years of experience in the financial crimes field. - Experience in international banking business, US Wealth Management KYC preferred. - Working knowledge of AML & KYC regulations, good communication skills, and ability to work independently. - Understanding of financial crime risks, internal controls, and regulatory examinations. - Strong analytical skills, ability to influence stakeholders, and manage projects effectively. - Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
