KYC & Onboarding API Service Engineer

As a KYC & Onboarding API Service Engineer at Barclays, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects. Your role involves planning, budgeting, ensuring agreed quality standards, and governance compliance. You will play a key role in evolving the digital landscape, driving innovation, and ensuring excellent customer experiences through cutting-edge technology. Key Responsibilities: - Provide L2 production support for incident/problem/change management - Handle MIM/triages during issues - Communicate effectively with stakeholders - Demonstrate hands-on knowledge of Unix, Oracle, SQL & Mongo DB - Have awareness about ITIL and ServiceNow - Be flexible to work in shifts - Possess good communication skills - Be familiar with alerting and monitoring tools like App Dynamics / Kibana - Develop support models and service offerings to enhance customer service - Perform preventative maintenance tasks on hardware and software - Utilize monitoring tools and metrics to identify and address potential issues for optimal performance - Maintain a knowledge base with detailed documentation for future reference and knowledge sharing - Analyze system logs, error messages, and user reports to identify root causes of issues and provide resolutions - Proactively assess support activities and implement automations for stability and efficiency - Identify and remediate potential service impacting risks and issues - Supervise a team, allocate work requirements, and coordinate team resources Qualifications Required: - Hands-on knowledge of Unix, Oracle, SQL & Mongo DB - Experience in L2 production support and incident management - Awareness of ITIL and ServiceNow - Strong communication skills - Flexibility to work in shifts - Familiarity with alerting and monitoring tools - Knowledge of cloud platforms is preferred - Strong problem-solving skills - Ability to drive continuous improvement Barclays Values: All colleagues at Barclays are expected to demonstrate Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Stewardship - the moral compass guiding actions.
