Junior Visual Designer

Job Description

YourStory is seeking a Visual Designer to join our Brand and Marketing team. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with a strong foundation in design principles and a keen eye for detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while contributing to a wide range of design projects. Experience required : 0 to 2 years of relevant experience (internships, freelance work, or project-based experience will be considered). Responsibilities Design digital creatives for social media, email campaigns, presentations, and online advertisements. Assist in the development of visual assets for YourStory IPs, events, and digital promotions. Ensure visual consistency across all communication channels in line with brand guidelines. Collaborate with senior designers and cross-functional teams to execute design briefs effectively. Stay open to feedback and actively work on refining and improving design output. Manage timelines and deliver high-quality work within set deadlines. Qualifications And Preferred Skills A degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Basic knowledge of web design and familiarity with Figma and Webflow (good to have). A strong portfolio that demonstrates creativity, visual storytelling, and a solid grasp of design fundamentals. Basic understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design. Interest in illustration and motion design is an added advantage. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach. High attention to detail and a willingness to take initiative and learn.
