Role Overview

This role is ideal for:

• Early-career designers
• Self-taught or portfolio-driven creatives

• This is not a corporate role. You will see your work go live, be used by real users, and presented to incubators, investors, and government partners.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Design mobile app screens and flows in Figma
• Improve usability and visual consistency of the Wastel app
• Create components, variants, and simple design systems
• Collaborate with Flutter developers to ensure design feasibility
  

• Maintain and evolve Wastel’s brand look and feel
• Design banners, icons, illustrations, and in-app visuals
• Ensure consistency across app, website, pitch decks, and social media
  

• Design new feature screens (e.g., gamification, dashboards, listings)
• Translate ideas and rough concepts into clean UI
• Think from a user-first perspective, not just aesthetics
  

Skills & Tools (What We’re Looking For)

Must-have

• Working knowledge of Figma
• Basic understanding of mobile app UI/UX
• Eye for clean, simple, and functional design
• Willingness to learn and take feedback positively
  

Good to have

• Illustration skills
• Basic animation / micro-interactions
• Prior work on apps, startups, or social impact projects
  

Compensation & Commitment

• ₹15,000 per month (fixed)
• Initial commitment: 3 months
• Flexible working hours (remote-friendly)
• Workload is reasonable but consistent
• This role is designed for learning + growth, not just short-term income.
