Job Description

As a Clinical Microbiologist, your role involves analyzing clinical specimens to identify microbial infections, conducting research on microbial pathogens and their resistance mechanisms, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans. You will be responsible for maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality control standards, and preparing detailed reports and documentation of findings. Additionally, you will train and mentor junior laboratory staff, participate in continuing education and professional development activities, and contribute to research publications and presentations. Your key responsibilities will include: - Analyzing clinical specimens to identify microbial infections - Conducting research on microbial pathogens and their resistance mechanisms - Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans - Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment - Ensuring compliance with safety and quality control standards - Preparing detailed reports and documentation of findings - Training and mentoring junior laboratory staff - Participating in continuing education and professional development activities - Contributing to research publications and presentations - Implementing and monitoring laboratory protocols and procedures - Assisting in the development of new diagnostic tests and methodologies - Providing expert consultation to healthcare providers on microbiological issues - Managing laboratory inventory and ordering supplies as needed - Participating in infection control and prevention programs - Staying updated with the latest advancements in microbiology and related fields To qualify for this role, you should have: - A Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Medical Laboratory Science, or related field - Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical microbiology laboratory - Strong knowledge of microbial pathogens and diagnostic techniques - Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory work - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Commitment to continuous learning and professional development - Knowledge of laboratory safety and quality control standards - Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively - Strong organizational and time management skills Please note that the company offers Provident Funds as part of the job benefits.,
