Junior Shopify Developer

Job Description

Job Brief: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Junior Shopify Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing on the Shopify platform, with the ability to create bespoke Shopify stores, modify existing templates, and build custom solutions. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Shopify, its apps, and API integrations. This role requires expertise in web development and the ability to enhance the user experience through custom solutions. Key Responsibilities: Create and maintain Shopify stores, ensuring they are engaging, user-friendly, and optimized to increase revenue and sales. Develop custom themes, modify existing templates, and ensure that all templates adhere to company guidelines. Collaborate with UI/UX design teams to create innovative, strong, and unique user experiences. Ensure seamless integration with Shopify apps, marketing tools, and platform APIs. Regularly debug and test websites to improve performance and user experience. Provide ongoing technical support and coordinate with internal teams to avoid disruptions. Optimize websites to increase conversion rates and enhance user experience. Test and develop 3rd-party Shopify apps and customize Shopify accounts as needed. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong experience in Shopify development, including store maintenance, launch, and construction. Proficiency in JavaScript, DOM, CSS3, and HTML5. Solid understanding and experience with Shopify’s Storefront API and custom themes. Expertise in Liquid templating language and Shopify theming system. Prior experience debugging or implementing 3rd-party Shopify applications and providing custom solutions. Expertise in JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, ES6/ES2015, Vanilla JS). Strong working knowledge of Shopify properties, Meta fields, and AJAX API. Experience in debugging and testing using browser consoles and other tools. Ability to provide proactive feedback and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience working with 3rd-party APIs and services, as well as Shopify plugins. Knowledge of creating responsive and mobile-friendly layouts for various devices (mobile, tablet, desktop). Desired Skills: Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for design and user experience. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams.
