DESCRIPTION

The Line Coordinator is responsible for overseeing a team of employees across two shifts to ensure production targets are met in terms of volume, cost, waste reduction, and quality. This role involves coordinating manpower, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Stop work and report any major injury hazards immediately.
  • Report all work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards.
  • Comply with all HSE standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Use appropriate PPE and promote a safety-first culture.
  • Participate in HSE training and correct hazards within control.

Quality

  • Follow standard work procedures, SPC, poka-yoke, and visual standards.
  • Raise quality concerns to minimize cost and exposure.
  • Perform quality inspections and manage non-conforming materials.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO IATF guidelines.

Delivery

  • Monitor team performance and assign tasks to meet production goals.
  • Respond to equipment faults, part shortages, and quality/safety issues.
  • Coordinate activities between shifts and departments.
  • Assist in headcount and overtime planning.
  • Ensure training requirements are met and documented.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Communicate effectively with team members and support functions.
  • Participate in training and development for upcoming changes.
  • Actively contribute to improvements in quality, safety, and processes.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Making, or higher.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience (as per regulatory requirements).
  • Licensing may be required for compliance with export controls or sanctions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Experience

  • Significant relevant work experience in manufacturing or production.
  • Experience in manpower handling and coordination across shifts.
  • Knowledge of HIRA, MOC, MSDS, and chemical safety.
  • Understanding of ISO IATF quality standards.
  • Familiarity with process improvement tools like VSM & VST.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Email communication).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
