Junior Research Fellow

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE: The primary focus of this position will involve conducting research activities under the project titled “Coupling Conformational Dynamics and Ligand Binding of Transporters”. The project employs multi-scale modelling approach involving molecular dynamics simulations, enhanced dynamics, and substrate binding analyses. 

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: Project assistant will be responsible for: 

• carrying out various research activities associated within the project. 

• Stay up to date on the latest advancements in the field of computational biology and actively seek opportunities to incorporate new technologies into the workflow. 

• Work effectively as part of a team 

• Communicate scientific findings clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. 

• Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for internal and external audiences. 

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Masters degree or equivalent degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, and computational natural sciences or allied areas with an excellent academic record. • Must be familiar with molecular modeling software, biomolecular simulations, and bioinformatics. 

• Experience in programming languages such as Python, R with AI/ML experience. 

EXPERIENCE AND SPECIALIZATION WITH SKILL SETS: 

• Must be efficient with computational biology techniques, preferably molecular modeling & simulations. 

• Exposure to experimental biochemical techniques is desirable. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

• Ability to work independently, with strong teamwork skills and a collaborative apirit.
