We are hiring Junior Quantity Surveyor for a leading Construction Company

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
• Conducting on-site visits to take measurements and assess the work done
• Assisting in analyzing construction plans and specifications
• Assisting in estimating and analyzing project costs
• Assisting in preparing project progress reports
• Assisting in managing project documentation
• Assisting in handling financial and contractual matters
• Providing support in dispute resolution and claims management
• Collaborating with project team members, contractors, and suppliers
• Assisting in ensuring compliance with regulations and building codes
• Participating in project meetings and offering insights on cost-related matters
• Staying updated with industry standards and best practices
• Assisting in the assessment of variations and valuations
• Providing support in cost control and cost management processes
• Assisting in the preparation of final accounts
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Relevant internship or work experience in a construction environment
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations
• Familiarity with cost estimation and measurement techniques
• Proficiency in utilizing relevant software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or equivalent
• Ability to analyze complex data and present findings effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented and able to work accurately under pressure
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Understanding of contract documentation and administration
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in the construction industry
• Professional certification or training in Quantity Surveying is a plus
