Job Description

The Junior Network Administrator will assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Client’s network infrastructure. This role supports daily network operations, ensuring smooth connectivity, performance, and security. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of networking fundamentals, a proactive approach to troubleshooting, and hands-on experience with Cisco or Juniper technologies with fibre connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in the configuration and maintenance of LAN, WAN, and wireless network components.

· Support the installation and setup of routers, switches, and firewalls.

· Monitor network performance, availability, and usage using standard tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds).

· Troubleshoot basic network connectivity and performance issues.

· Assist in configuring routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and VLANs.

· Support VPN setup, firewall rule updates, and access control list (ACL) maintenance.

· Document network configurations, device inventories, and change logs.

· Perform scheduled maintenance, firmware upgrades, and patch updates.

· Provide end-user network support and escalate complex issues to senior staff.

· Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for network operations and incident response.

Qualifications and Certifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related discipline.

· Minimum 2 years of experience in network maintenance or administration.

· Minimum 1 year post-certification experience in one or more of the following:

o Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)

o Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

o Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

o Juniper Networks Certified Professional (JNCIP) / Associate (JNCIA)

· Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing protocols, and network security basics.

· Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper Junos OS.

· Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

· Familiarity with routing and switching SD-WAN, network monitoring, or automation tools.

· Basic understanding of load balancing, firewall and fibre connectivity.

· Exposure to large enterprise IT environments.

· Eagerness to learn and grow into senior network administration roles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
