About The Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic intern to join our editorial team at Travel Mail, a leading travel and tourism magazine.You’ll help publish travel industry press releases, articles, and updates on our website and social channels. It’s a great opportunity for someone starting in journalism, content, or digital media to gain hands-on experience and grow in the travel industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and upload daily press releases received via our official email.
• Copy, edit, and format each press release for the website (headline, subheading, body).
• Resize and optimise images for web upload (speaker/event photos).
• Add proper image captions and SEO details (using Rank Math).
• Select and insert keywords and meta descriptions for better visibility.
• Publish the article on our WordPress website.
• Share published posts on our social media handles using Publr.
• Reply to the original sender with a standard acknowledgement message after publishing.
• Assist in uploading and updating feature stories or news articles on the site.
• Support the team during events, expos, or award shows as needed.
  

Requirements

Good command of English writing and paraphrasing.Basic understanding of WordPress or willingness to learn.Familiar with Canva and photo resizing tools (e.g., Pixlr, Fotor, Photoshop basics).Comfortable handling social media posting tools (Publr, Buffer, or similar).Keen eye for layout, grammar, and presentation.Must have a personal laptop.Passion for travel and media is a plus!
