Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Junior Executive

Checklist Preparation & Factory Clearance Audits

  • Prepare the necessary checklists in accordance with order copies and audit requirements.
  • Perform thorough health and safety inspections of client facilities for clearance and compliance assurance.

Workplace Audits & Compliance Assessment

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of industrial workplaces to assess compliance with applicable health, safety, and welfare regulations.
  • Identify potential hazards, unsafe practices, and areas of non-compliance.
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, associated risks, and recommended corrective and preventive actions.

Regulatory Documentation & Licensing

  • Prepare and submit required documentation for obtaining No Objection Certificates (NOCs) and licenses from regulatory bodies including DISH, CLRA, PCB, DFO, DH&PM, and PWD, based on client-specific requirements.

Regulatory Compliance & Policy Advisory

  • Stay updated with current and emerging health & safety regulations.
  • Ensure organizational adherence to legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Advise senior management on necessary updates to policies and procedures to maintain compliance.

Training & Awareness Programs

  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs to educate employees on health, safety, and welfare practices.
  • Foster a proactive safety culture by promoting awareness and encouraging safe behaviours across the organization.

Liaison with Regulatory Authorities & Reporting

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the organization and external regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure clear communication, timely submission of reports, and effective resolution of compliance issues.
  • Present audit results, incident trends, and safety performance metrics to senior management and clients.

Qualification :

  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OHSAS, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in conducting health, safety, and welfare audits within industrial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of local, national, and international health, safety, and welfare regulations.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess risks and recommend effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and training skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels.
