Junior Estimator

You will be responsible for obtaining, calculating, and compiling data for conceptual/bid proposal estimates under general supervision. Your key responsibilities will include: - Ensuring all quantity surveys and pricing are accurate and complete - Providing support for the development of bidding strategies by debriefing the salesperson of job elements - Leading the documentation management of the project and ensuring all documents are complete - Attending pre-bid meetings to discuss project specifics and scope - Participating in bid closings and estimate reviews - Balancing workload and assignments to meet deadlines - Developing a value analysis study by defining alternatives to the proposed scope - Managing action items from Post Bid and finalizing scope - Computing cost estimates for materials, equipment, subcontracted work, production activities, and labor Additionally, you are expected to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills with internal customers. This includes listening effectively, following up in a timely manner, and creating a personal connection with customers. Preferred qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree in a related field, although other degrees are also acceptable for talented individuals. You should have 0-2 years of experience in a related field and possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: - Accurate and profitable bidding - Availability to work and take customer calls during night hours to accommodate U.S.-based clients - Proficiency in English for effective communication - Basic knowledge of lab products, services, processes, and projects - Understanding of project plans and specifications - Proficiency in MS Office Suite - Strong prioritization and organizational skills - Detail-oriented mindset - Prior experience in Estimation or BOQ preparation is an added advantage This is a full-time job with a day shift schedule. The company offers performance and yearly bonuses. You must own a laptop or desktop at home and have experience reading and interpreting architectural drawings.
