Junior Engineer

Role & responsibilities

A. Production Operations

• Operate, monitor and control machines/equipment as per SOPs. Ensure achievement of daily production targets and cycle time. Assist in assembly, testing and inspection of components/products. Maintain production line efficiency and minimize downtime. Follow standard work practices and implement process improvements.
  

B. Quality Assurance

• Conduct in-process inspection using measurement tools (Vernier, Micrometer, Gauges). Identify defects and ensure products meet quality specifications. Support in root-cause analysis for quality issues (5 Why, Fishbone tools).
  

C. Machine & Process Management

• Perform basic troubleshooting of machines and escalate complex issues. Monitor machine parameters and maintain proper settings. Support preventive maintenance tasks in coordination with the maintenance team. Ensure proper handling of tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
  

D. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily production records (DPR), downtime logs, and material consumption. Follow ISO/TS/QMS documentation and ensure compliance. Support audit requirements and maintain traceability.
  

E. Safety & 5S Compliance

• Follow all safety procedures and use PPE on the shop floor. Maintain clean and organized workstation as per 5S standards. Report unsafe conditions and ensure safe machine operation.
  

F. Team Coordination

• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, PPC, and Engineering teams. Provide support during line changes, trials, and validations.

Preferred candidate profile

Having 1-3 yrs of experience in supervision of production activities in auto component and electronics component manufacturing.
