Junior DevOps Engineer

.This role is ideal for a proactive and passionate engineer eager to grow expertise in DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure, and automation. You will work closely with senior engineers to manage cloud resources, streamline CI/CD pipelines, and support scalable deployments. The position provides hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS services, monitoring tools, and infrastructure-as-code technologies. You will contribute to building secure and efficient systems while learning best practices in cloud operations and DevOps. Accountabilities:
- Assist in managing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters and AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS)
- Support CI/CD pipeline development and deployment using Jenkins or Circle CI
- Write automation scripts using Python, Bash, or Terraform under guidance
- Set up and maintain monitoring solutions using Datadog, Grafana, and AWS CloudWatch
- Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient deployments
- Learn and apply DevOps best practices and security standards
Requirements
- Exposure to Kubernetes and Helm charts for deploying applications
- Basic hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPCs, and AWS CLI
- Understanding of PostgreSQL database concepts
- Familiarity or interest in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Circle CI) and monitoring solutions (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in a DevOps or infrastructure-related role
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and adaptable to a startup environment
