Junior Design Engineer

We are seeking a Junior Design Engineer to join our engineering team in the gearbox manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of mechanical design principles, hands-on experience with AutoCAD, and a strong interest in gear systems, transmission units, and mechanical components. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in the design and development of precision gearbox systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and development of gearbox components, assemblies, and subassemblies.
• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks or Inventor, if applicable).
• Modify and revise existing drawings as per engineering change requests and manufacturing feedback.
• Support the senior design team in creating BOMs (Bill of Materials) and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Participate in design reviews and assist in resolving technical issues during the manufacturing process.
• Maintain design files and project documentation in accordance with company standards.
• Conduct basic calculations and analysis for gears, shafts, and bearings under guidance.
• Learn and apply gear design standards (AGMA, ISO, DIN) under supervision.

Requirements:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in a gearbox or transmission-related industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Familiarity with other CAD software like SolidWorks, CATIA, or Inventor is a plus.
