Job Role Document – Copy Writer – Specialist

Job Title: Copy Writer – Specialist

Position Summary


The Copy Writer – Specialist is responsible for crafting compelling, brand-aligned copy that drives

action and communicates clearly across digital touchpoints. This role focuses on persuasive

messaging for ads, social campaigns, websites, emails, product marketing, and campaign

communication. The ideal candidate has a creative approach to storytelling, and the ability to write

sharp, high-converting copy tailored to different audiences and platforms.


Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs)

1. Marketing & Campaign Copywriting

● Write persuasive copy for performance ads, landing pages, emailers, banners, and product

communication.

● Interpret marketing briefs, campaign goals, and brand tone to craft targeted copy.

● Collaborate with designers and digital teams to ensure message consistency across visual

and verbal content.

2. Brand Voice & Positioning

● Help evolve and maintain the unique voice of each brand across campaigns and platforms.

● Ensure all communication reflects the client’s core values, tone, and positioning.

● Translate complex product features into user-centric benefits and emotional messaging.

3. Conceptual Thinking & Creative Development

● Contribute to ideation for integrated campaigns, taglines, and brand hooks.

● Partner with art directors and content writers for concept-based storytelling and asset

planning.

● Experiment with formats like carousel scripts, UGC-style copy, CTAs, and

performance-driven content.


Required Skills and Competencies

● Exceptional command of English with a focus on marketing grammar and brevity.

● Strong understanding of consumer psychology, funnel stages, and performance metrics.

● Flair for writing sharp, conversion-focused headlines and CTAs.

● Ability to switch tones and styles based on brand and medium.

● Creative mindset with a strong sense of campaign messaging and copy hierarchy.

● Familiarity with Meta/Google ad platforms, performance ad copy best practices (preferred).

● Comfortable working in collaborative tools like Google Workspace, Notion, and Slack.


Education and Experience

● Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Mass Communication, English, or a related field.

● 0–2 years of copywriting experience in an agency or fast-paced creative team.

● Portfolio showcasing a range of ad copy, taglines, landing pages, and emailers.
