Job Title: Junior Accountant
Location: Mogappair, Chennai
Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting activities and assist in maintaining accurate financial records. The role is ideal for candidates with basic accounting knowledge who are eager to learn and grow in the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in maintaining books of accounts and daily accounting entries
· Handle data entry for sales, purchase, and expense vouchers
· Support bank reconciliation and cash/bank book maintenance
· Assist in GST data preparation and basic compliance support
· Help in invoice generation and follow-up for payments
· Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
· Support senior accountants during audits and month-end closing
· Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for accounting-related queries
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
· 1-2 years of experience
· Basic knowledge of accounting principles
· Working knowledge of Tally / accounting software
· Proficiency in MS Excel
· Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
Preferred Skills
· Basic understanding of GST and TDS
· Good communication and organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
