Lead Back-End Engineer

Package:

• Lead and mentor the back-end engineering team for EFT switch and real-time payments processing.
• Design and optimize high-throughput, low-latency transaction flows.
• Oversee integration with domestic and regional real-time payment schemes.
• Ensure system resilience, disaster recovery readiness, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with JPOS and front-end teams for seamless transaction handoff.
• Define architecture standards and review code for quality and performance.
• Serve as SME on EFT switch operations, instant payment protocols, and API integrations.

• 5+ years’ experience in EFT switch development, integration, and maintenance.
• Strong expertise in ISO 8583, ISO 20022, EMV standards, PCI DSS, tokenization, and encryption.
• Hands-on experience with HSMs (Thales Luna, CipherTrust), PKI, and encryption algorithms.
• Deep understanding of payment workflows: acquiring, issuing, settlement.
• Proficiency in Java and back-end frameworks (J2EE, Spring Boot, JPA).
• Experience with databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with real-time payment protocols (RTP, UPI, Faster Payments).
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams in mission-critical payment environments.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving with a focus on scalability, resilience, and security.
• Deep knowledge of payment compliance, fraud mitigation, and security best practices.
