Job Title: Shift Operator/Shift Engineer – 400 kV Substation Department: Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Location: North GOA Reporting To: Shift In-Charge / Substation Manager Position Summary: The Shift Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of a 400 kV substation during their assigned shift. This includes monitoring and controlling substation equipment, ensuring adherence to operational and safety protocols, coordinating with Load Dispatch Centers (SLDC/RLDC), and responding effectively to system disturbances, alarms, and faults. Key Responsibilities: 1. Substation Operation & Monitoring:  Operate all high-voltage equipment (up to 400 kV) including Circuit Breakers, Isolators, Current Transformers (CTs), Potential Transformers (PTs), Lightning Arrestors, Busbars, and Reactors.  Monitor substation parameters like voltage, current, frequency, power factor, and load flows via SCADA/RTU/HMI systems.  Ensure timely switching operations as per standard operating procedures (SOPs) and permit-to-work (PTW) systems.  Follow single-line diagrams (SLDs) and log switching activities in the shift logbook. 2.
