Als ondersteunend begeleider bij ASVZ begeleid en verzorg je bewoners met een verstandelijke beperking. Tijdens je dienst zorg je ervoor dat de bewoners op jou kunnen vertrouwen. Ouder worden brengt veranderende behoeftes met zich mee. Als begeleider signaleer je deze behoeftes en weet je hoe je hierop in kan spelen. Op deze woning werk je over het algemeen met zijn tweeën, zodat we de bewoners met een intensievere begeleidingsvraag de nabijheid kunnen bieden die zij nodig hebben. De zorgvraag bestaat uit een combinatie van verzorging en begeleiding. Samen 100 is het uitgangspunt, we nemen niet alles over maar proberen samen met de bewoner tot een mooi eindresultaat te komen. We kijken zo goed mogelijk per bewoner waar zijn of haar behoeften ligt en sluiten hier bij aan. Een Dag Bij Schoorstraat 4-10 In de ochtend help je de bewoners zich klaar te maken voor hun werkdag (dagbesteding). Denk aan het ondersteunen met douchen, aankleden en gezamenlijk ontbijten. Na de dagbesteding vang je de bewoners op met thee/koffie en fruit. Hierna is er ruimte voor de bewoners om zich even terug te trekken of juist om samen met begeleiding/medebewoner activiteiten te ondernemen. Samen koken, boodschappen doen of een spelletje spelen. Regulier Binnen ASVZ richten we ons op het voorleven en bevorderen van het gewone leven. Als je niet de stoornis of beperking als uitgangspunt neemt, ga je anders kijken naar eventueel (probleem)gedrag en geef je het een ander betekenis. Door deze onvoorwaardelijke ondersteuning in combinatie met een zinvol gevuld dagprogramma zie je dat de kwaliteit van het bestaan toeneemt. De uitdaging binnen deze zorg ligt dan ook in het op zoek te gaan naar die behoefte voor iedere bewoner om voor hem de kwaliteit van bestaan te vergroten. EVB (Ernstig verstandelijke beperking) Deze bewoners hebben een ernstige verstandelijke beperking met mogelijk een lichamelijke beperking en/of medische problemen. De ontwikkelingsleeftijd van de bewoners ligt tussen de zes maanden en twee jaar. Verbale communicatie is niet vanzelfsprekend en vindt plaats op een eenvoudige manier. Door gebruik van pictogrammen, gebarentaal of lichaamshouding/ taal. Het is voor mensen met EVB vaak moeilijk om de wereld om zich heen te begrijpen. Om zich veilig te voelen hebben zij de juiste begeleiding en/ of verzorging nodig in een vertrouwde omgeving. De vertrouwde begeleiders en het netwerk (ouders/ verwanten en vrijwilligers) zijn heel belangrijk voor de bewoners en dragen bij aan het gevoel van veiligheid. Bij het werken met de doelgroep EVB is het bieden van structuur in een voorspelbare omgeving heel belangrijk. Je moet vooruit kunnen denken in de begeleiding én verzorgingsmomenten. Diversiteit en ontwikkelingsgerichtheid staan hoog in het vaandel. Verder moet je doorzettingsvermogen hebben en denk je in mogelijkheden. Je bent cliëntgericht, loyaal en je hebt humor.
