• Design and maintain scalable, resilient, and

  event-driven microservices

• Develop APIs and microservices using

• Implement efficient inter-service communication via

  .
• Work with messaging and streaming platforms like

  Kafka

• Optimize performance through profiling, benchmarking, and observability tools like

  Prometheus

  ELK stack

• Write clean, immutable, and maintainable code, embracing

• Collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver reliable solutions.
• Participate in

  code reviews, mentoring, and technical knowledge-sharing sessions

  .
• Continuously improve system performance and architecture through testing and performance analysis.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Deep expertise in

  Scala

  and

  functional programming paradigms

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  Cats

  ,

  Cats Effect

  , and at least one of

  FS2

  ,

  ZIO

  , or

  Doobie

  .
• Solid understanding of

  monads, functors, type classes, and algebraic data types (ADTs)

  .
• Strong experience designing and maintaining

  high-concurrency, distributed systems

  .
• Knowledge of

  asynchronous and reactive programming

  in Scala.
• Experience working with

  databases (SQL and NoSQL)

  and integrating with

  streaming technologies

  like Kafka or Pulsar.
• Strong grasp of

  testing strategies

  , including Scala Test, M Unit, property-based testing, and Test Containers.
• Familiarity with

  cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

  and containerization tools like

  Docker

  and

  Kubernetes

  .
• Understanding of

  CI/CD pipelines

  and

  Infrastructure as Code

  (Terraform, Helm, Ansible).

Nice to Have:

• Experience with

  GraphQL

  or advanced

  gRPC

  implementations.
• Familiarity with

  or other advanced FP libraries.
• Contributions to

  open source

  or technical blogs related to Scala or functional programming.
