Job Description As a Jio Fiber Engineer-In-Training, you will be responsible for delivering seamless customer experience by ensuring smooth installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and upgrades of Jio Fiber services at customer premises. The role demands strong technical understanding, customer handling skills, and the ability to resolve issues effectively. Key Responsibilities: Installation & Commissioning Carry out installation and activation of Jio Fiber connections at customer premises. Ensure work is completed as per appointment schedule and company guidelines. Customer Demonstration & Education Explain and demonstrate the features and benefits of Jio High-Speed Internet (HSI PPP) and related services. Guide customers on usage, safety, and troubleshooting basics. Customer Support & Upgrades Provide technical support to customers for internet, home networking, and smart home/security solutions. Recommend and assist with product upgrades where required. Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to installation, network connectivity, and devices. Ensure first-time resolution (FTR) to improve customer satisfaction. Compliance & Reporting Follow safety standards and company procedures during field work. Document work completed, customer feedback, and issues resolved using company tools/apps. Provide timely updates to the supervisor/technical lead. Competencies / Skills Required Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of networking, cabling, routers, modems, and installation tools. Ability to troubleshoot internet connectivity and device configuration issues. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving ability and logical thinking. Good communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms to customers. Teamwork and collaboration. Behavioral Competencies: Customer-first mindset and patience while handling queries. Self-motivated, disciplined, and punctual. Ability to work under field conditions and meet deadlines. Education Qualification Mandatory: ITI / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, or related fields. Preferred: Bachelor of Engineering (BE) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech). Experience Required: 1 – 3 years of field experience in installation, service, or technical support. Freshers with relevant qualifications may be considered for trainee positions. Age Criteria: 18 – 25 years
