JD108 - Civil Engineer - Intern/Trainee

Graduate Engineer with experience of 0-1 Years / Diploma in Civil with experience of 1 Year / Final Year students of B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering.

We seek well prepared students from engineering schools to expand their education in structural engineering through the internship program offered at DSPAA. Graduated Engineers may apply for Trainee position.

As an engineering intern in our structures group, you will participate on project teams for structural projects of all types, including commercial & industrial buildings. A sound technical background, strong communication skills and enthusiasm for the challenges of designing great structures are required.

Requirements

1. Good Communication skills & sound technical background.
2. Civil works Site execution knowledge.
3. Basic understanding of Civil CAD Drawings.
4. Working knowledge of CAD software.
5. Preparation of BOQs & Quantity Estimation.
6. Must have good knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel & MS Powerpoint.

7. Client handling & Business Development traits are an added benefit.

Note : Indore based candidates and female applicants will be given priority.

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of engineers and technicians under the guidance of the lead structural engineer.
• A mandatory 15-day on-site training (projects close to Indore) with Food & Accommodation.
• Working with a team of engineers and technicians under the guidance of the lead structural engineer.
• Fulfilling tasks set out by supervisors.
• Implementation of IS codes in Design & subsequent CAD preparation.
• Creating hand calculations and excel spreadsheet modules for the design components.
• Ability to multitask, attend meetings and document all design and calculations produced during the course of work.
• Basic know-how on modelling & analysis on structural analysis tools such as STAAD.
• Ability to work on drafting, design and related works on Domestic & International projects.
• Preparation of Bill of Quantities & Reports is expected.
