Java Tech Lead

Java Lead-

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Technical Lead to oversee the offshore development team delivering software solutions for our Singapore-based clients. 
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of software development practices, and experience working with distributed teams across geographies. You will be responsible for driving technical excellence, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high-quality standards while closely collaborating with the client’s onshore stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities: 

Lead and mentor a team of software developers . 

Collaborate directly with application's product owners, architects to understand requirements and provide technical guidance to team for implementation. 

Own the end-to-end delivery of software projects from design to deployment. 

Ensure the team follows agile/scrum best practices, coding standards, and performs regular code reviews; conduct Agile ceremonies.

Act as the primary  technical and delivery contact, ensuring alignment with the client’s technical vision and roadmap. 

Proactively identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies. 

Ensure effective version control, and promote DevSecOps culture. 

Track project milestones, manage team performance, and ensure SLAs and KPIs are met. 

Drive a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team. 

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

15+ years of  experience in software development  using technologies such as Java/.NET/Node.js/Python, with solid understanding of frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue. 

Proven leadership skills with at least 5 years of experience in a technical lead or team lead role. 

Excellent understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). 

Experience with DevOps tools  and Agile/Scrum methodologies. 

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with cross-cultural and remote teams. 

Experience working with clients or product owners based in different location  or different time zones is a plus.
